Ans) Brethine

-- Normally the physicians try to prevent or delay the early time labor by giving a medicine called the Brethine or Terbutaline.This is in the drug group called the betamimetics .These are mainly helping to avoid and make the contractions of the uterus in a very slow manner.This also helps to avoid the child birth for many hours or for many days.After the administration of this medicine it takes around 12 to 72 hours of time to start its working.

Dinoprostone

  -- This medicine is used to have an abortion at the time of 12 to 20 weeks of the pregnancy.But it is also utilized till the 28 weeks of pregnancy to take away the all remaining particles inside the womb Vaginally from a missed abortion.Here what what happens is that the medicine normally contract the womb and roughly push the out inside particles.

-- This medicine is taken through the mouth and around 3 to 4 times in a day for around 1 week after the delivery time.

Some of the contradictions to the Methylergonovine are;

Increased Blood pressure, the heart attack, stroke , block in the heart valve and some kind of liver problems.

Magnesium Sulfate

​​​​​​ -- This medicine helps for avoiding decreased blood magnesium and the seizures in the ladies with the eclampsia.And this medicine can be also used to treat the diseases like asthma and barium poisoning.This also helps to avoid the wounds that can come to the early time birth of the child .

-- This medicine is taken like an intramuscular injection or intravenous infusion for around 12 to 48 hours.

-- safety precautions to take against the magnesium are reduce the contact with the skin or other organs, use respiratory and protective measures, prevent the breathing of fumes.
