Answer: STD is sexually transmitted disease which is rapidly increasing due to lack of awareness among people. The local and state programs working to reduce sexually transmitted diseases. These programs consist of many campaigns, health-related information. Educating people especially the young and adults about the disease also helps to reduce the spreading of the STD. Imparting knowledge to the people about these kind of diseases such as HIV AIDs, Herps, Gonorrhea etc.may help people to stay alert and take precautions. The healthcare disparities associated with STD health issues are the all together outcome of the social determinants of health such as poverty, lack of education,unequal access to health care, stigma, and racism which are directly linked to health disparities. Many efforts are being made to reduce these disparities such as education regarding the diseases as well as free health checkup etc.
