b. Height and weight growth trajectory of James

The given data shows the progressive physical growth in the boy child James. At his 2 nd year of life his height and weight were 88.3cm and 12.8 respectively. Body mass index (BMI : ratio between the weight in kg devided by height in meter square) is16.4. Normal BMI is in an adult is 18.5- 24.9.

According to CDC growth chart BMI for age percentile in James was healthy at 2 years( 16.4) but at the age of 3 years(17.8 BMI), 4 years(17.6) his BMI percentile goes more than 85. So he was overweight at these ages. At 7 year also the percentile was near to obesity. At 11 year his BMI was 23.1 and percentile was 95 percentile almost touched the level of obesity and finally at the age of 13 his BMI was 27 and percentile of BMI according to Growth chart shows greater than 95 percentile that means he is an obese child.

c. Age between 11 to 13 shows the rapid growth in height and weight . As a result Body mass index also got higher. In growth chart his BMI touched the dangerous portion of above 95 percentile BMI for age.
