A global health issue among all the health issues to be concerned is overweight and obesity .

Its impact on larger health care systems:

• Obese adults are more likely to develop serious illnesses including coronary artery disease, diabetes and hypehtention.
• Economic impacts of obesity epidemic is on direct medical spending .
• Individuals who are obese BMI<30 have a 50 to 100 percent risk of premature death from all causes compared to individual with BMI in range of 20 to 25.
• obesity is one of the biggest drivers of preventable chronic diseases and healthcare costs in the United states
• Social and emotional effects of obesity includes, discrimination, lower wages, lower quality of life and susceptible to depression.

Addressing global health care concerns:

• New Technology adoption and policies on optimal timing, pace and scale.
• Allow countries to include overhead costs in Grant's to provide implementation support.
• Provide administrative support for coordinating mechanisms
• Provide a search able database of technical assistance solutions and providers eg. Who have set up clinics.
