Answer #1

Solution:

1)The balanced equation for Cyclohexanol to cyclogexene conversion is given as,

C6H11OH = C6H10 + H2O

2) Name of alkene = Cyclohexene

3) Number of moles of cyclohexanol is calculated as,

Number of mol of cyclohexanol = mass /molar mass

=0.16g / 100.158 g mol-1 = 0.0016 mol

Hence,

Number of moles expected for alkene (cyclohexene) = number of moles of cyclohexanol = 0.0016 mol

4) Molar mass of alkene (cyclohexene) = 82.143 g /mol

5) Mass of alkene (theoretical mass)

= number of mol x molar mass of alkene

= 0.0016 mol x 82.143 g /mol = 0.131 g

    ed chemical equation. However, the balanced chemical equation only works in units of moles. To convert grams of aluminum to moles of aluminum the atomic mass of aluminum must be used. grams of aluminum x 1 mole Al = 1 26.98 g Al To relate the moles of aluminum to KAl(SO4)2* 12H20, the mole to mole ratio must be found in the balanced chemical equation. In this case it is: 1 mole of Al3 = 1 mole KAl(SO4)2 12H20 As...
