If you were a PTA at an inpatient rehabilitation facility, what measures would you take to ensure that your patient treatment plans are progressed or regressed appropriately?

PTA (Physical therapy assistant)

Physical therapy assistant is a part of team who provide physical therapy to the patients under the guidance of physical therapist.

If i was a Physical therapy assistant i would do the following duties properly to ensure patient progress

- Obtain data related to the interventions provided to the patient, and make necessary modifications according to the need of the patient or for patient safety as directed by the physical therapist.

-Assess patients health by interviewing patient, physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying therapy histories.

-Document patient care, by charting in department records

-Instruct and counsel patient by explaining therapeutic regimen.

- maintain safe and clean working environement.

- Monitoring actual physical therapy services rendered to production objectives

- Assess abnormal conditions by reviewing physical therapists interpretations of patient evaluation and teast results.

-Perform therapeutic procedures like administering manual exercises, instructions, encouraging and assisting patient in performing physical activity and in using supportive devices like crutches, canes and prosthesis.
