Andrew Jackson was one of the leading commanders with Britain in the War of 1812. He is known in his campaigns for his bravery, leadership and success. His most famous contribution was at the New Orleans Siege, which took place between January 8 and January 18, 1815. The 5,000 troops of Jackson achieved a decisive victory over a 7,500 British invasion army. The British had 2,037 casualties at the end of the battle compared to the 71 in America. The Battle of New Orleans was the last and most one-sided battle of the War of 1812.

In 1801, Andrew Jackson was appointed colonel of the Tennessee militia, and the next year was made major general. In the regional conflict known as the Creek War, which was fought primarily between U.S. state militias and the Red Sticks Creek people, a traditionalist group of indigenous Americans in the southeast, he effectively commanded the U.S. forces. The Creek War is considered part of the U.S.-Great Britain War of 1812 as the British supported the Red Sticks. At the Battle of Horseshoe Bend in 1814, Andrew Jackson's victory effectively ended the Creek War.

In the presidential election of 1824, Jackson first ran for president. He received a majority, but not the most popular votes. The House of Representatives voted on the vote, which elected John Quincy Adams as president. This was called the Corrupt Bargain because Adams made Henry Clay, the House's Speaker, State Secretary. Whether it was unethical, however, is now being debated. Jackson won in the 1828 elections by a landslide becoming the seventh U.S. president. He also easily secured the next election. The tear trail is a trail on which Andrew Jackson forced native Americans from Chickasaw, Choctaw, Cherokee, Creek, and Seminole. This is a mistake because he ruined the land and culture of the Native Americans, he didn't care about the well-being of the native Americans because he made them go on a journey that took about 1,000 miles on foot for 2 months and more than 1⁄4 of the Native Americans died on the way, but most of the only reason he made the native Americans leave was because he found gold in their territory. Those figures demonstrate the arrogant and selfishness of Andrew Jackson.

The Nullification Crisis began in 1832 when South Carolina declared unconstitutional the Federal Tariffs that Andrew Jackson had signed into law. This was his fault as he taxed the illegal Americans, which means they weren't honest.
