Intramembrane proteolysis -it is the phenomenon which occours in the intramembrane of cell .several diseases are also related to this phenomenon .proteolysis is formed from two word these are-proto is used for protein and lysis means breakdown so the whole meaning of proteolysis is the degradation of protein that cause hydrolysis of peptide bond(removal of water molecule also occour when peptide bond are formed ) in a protein by the help of some enzyme or may be occur due to some others condition these may be temperature ,pH etc., Intamembrane proteolysis is a phenomenon that occours at the plane of membrane .It is the cleavage or degradation of protein due to the cleavage it contribute to the activation of several diseases and activation of substrate. SREBP,Notch is cleaved by regulated intramembrane protein.Also the TNF-a is also cleaved by RIP,multiple cleavage pattern also found in TNF-a.
