A group of researchers intend to conduct a survey to determine the impact of “social factors” on opioid addictions among adolescents (12-17 years) across the United States. Suggest i) a sampling frame, ii) sampling methodology you believe would be most suitable/appropriate and indicate the reason for your choice, and iii) any other important factors the researchers should take into consideration.

1. Sampling frame is a list of elements or other units containing the elements in a population . Basically it is a list of the elements of a population from which a sample actually is selected. The sampling frame to be used in this is adolescent population .

2. The sampling method to be used is random sampling . In which a complete list of all members of the population are obtained and all names are assigned a number . The sample is generated through use of lottery method. This method allows equal chances to everyone to participate and is unbiased method of sampling .

3. One of the important factors that the researchers should take into consideration is that sample should involve adolescents belonging to every socio -economic status . Not o my taking samples from rich group because in cases of starvation and poverty individuals are ready to do anything and gets involved in antisocial activities.
