Answer #1

1, Ibs to kg
Weight 107Ibs = 49 kg
height 5'5 = 1.65m
BMI = weight (kg) divided into height 2(m2)
= 49 divided by (1.65 X 1.65)
= 49 divided by 2.7
= 18
BMI below 18.5 considered as an Underweight.
2, Body fat percentage(BFP)
=1.20 X BMI + 0.23 X age -5.4
3, when people are underweight there will be less FSH and LH production due to hypothalamic production which leads to hypogonadotropic hypogonadism. Hypothalamus may not produce a gonadotropin-releasing hormone that stimulates pituitary glands to produce the hormone and stimulate ovulation(FSH and LH).
4, When Tonya's weight decreased and considered as underweight her estrogen level will be low which cause amenorrhea. female hormones like estrogen and progesterone help regulate the menstural period.
5, Being underweight can interfere with the production of FSH and LH hormone. Tonya should increase her weight up to a normal level which stimulates ovaries to produce the follicles which produce mature eggs and progesterone that help to maintain a pregnancy. Clomid or other fertility drugs have a lot of side effects and ovarian and endometrial cancers.
