Answer #1

Answer:- The balanced chemical equation for the reaction between HCl and NaOH :-

HCl (aq) + NaOH (aq) \rightarrow NaCl (aq) + H2O (l)

Complete Ionic Equation:

H+ (aq) + Cl- (aq) + Na+ (aq) + OH-(aq)  \rightarrow Na+ (aq) + Cl- (aq) + H2O (l)

The sodium cations and the chloride anions act as spectator ions because they are present on both sides of the chemical equation as ions. Thus, to get the net ionic equation, we have to remove these spectator ions.

Net ionic Equation:

H+ (aq) + OH- (aq) \rightarrow H2O (l)
