99 % CI = p± 2.58 Vp(1-p)/n

396 p=-=0.48. n 9825

On putting the these values in above formula , we get

99% CI = ( 0.48-0.045, 0.48+0.045)

=(0.435 , 0.525)

We are 99% confident with the sample data that the population proportion of voters will fall within that range.
