Dollar firm after Chinese growth hits 28-year low The dollar held near a two-week high on Monday, shrugging off concerns about weakening global growth and data showing Chinas economy slowed sharply in 2018. The greenback has enjoyed its first weekly gain since mid-December, buoyed by hopes for a thaw in U.S.-China trade tensions and stronger-than-expected U.S. industrial production numbers. Going into 2019, weakness in the dollar was a consensus view among currency market traders. The bet was that the U.S. central bank would stop raising interest rates and the economy would slow after a fiscal boost last year. The dollar index, which measures its strength against a group of six major currencies, on Monday was steady at 96.33. The U.S market slowed down since mid-December of 2018 and it is survived the end of the market closed on Friday to gain good confidence again on Monday. In the relatively china economy is also had weak in 2018. In the meanwhile of a period, the dollar makes a great negative impact showing on exchanges, home & international markets. As per the words of Esther Maria Reichelt of FX strategist at Commerzbank in Frankfurt, now the dollar is getting back the actual position status and leading against to the major six currencies on Monday stood with 96.33.

The federal reserve took great measures on monetary policy to survive the weakening of the U.S economy into a strengthening of the dollar in the market. China is the second largest economy in the world but it was slow down the progress and failed to survive in the market at the last quarter of 2018 due to the trade friction between the U.S and China.

In the period ending of 2018 December, euro recorded with 0.09 percent and reached to $1.1371 compared to a dollar after regained the actual status of a dollar now the euro reached to reduce the value of $1.1353 ended on Friday. In this way the U.S currency again got the good mark of dollar value at the end of Friday and the market has closed on the Monday due to the public holiday of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as it was his birthday memorial.
