Introduction:-
The concepts of business ethics has increasingly become important for all organizations as rightly so, they are at the center of public and government scrutiny like never before.
Companies over the years have had to realize the fact, that they operate in a society and are answerable to the general public and therefore must conduct its operations in a way that the interest of no party ever gets harmed respectively.
As a result the concepts of ethics and social responsibility have increased in the society and the same have been selected in this answer.
Case Specifics:-
The case here extends to Facebook and how its recent developments have meant that the company has to rethink about its social responsibility issues.
The company has American routes, and has been at the center of scrutiny because of recent cases of data piracy and election manipulation resulting in bad name for the company.
The firm has had to come clean on the concepts of social responsibility in the sense that it realizes today that a lot of people operate the website and therefore, it is the companies responsibility to take care, of privacy concerns which indeed are genuine in nature.
The company today realizes this and has taken steps to ensure that privacy concerns no longer damage the companies reputation with people as big as Mark Zuckerberg having to come clean in front of the congress on this.
