BT is a 43 ylo female who presents to urgent care very distraught as she claims she is urinating blood. She says she was diagnosed in her PCPs office three days ago with a urinary tract infection and he gave her a prescription for a couple different medicines and she claimed she was actually feeling better as far as UTI symptoms were concerned. UTI are common infection in the females the above case of urinating blood is a sign of severe UTI wereby the bacteria would have multiplied severely and passed to the other part of urinary system such as bladder wereby she has history of haematuria. When she has visited pcp he would have prescribed the antibiotics which would have gradually started acting wereby her symptoms started reducing. She has to complete the course of whatever being prescribed and have proper awareness about UTI or again she may have recurrent infections.
