What nursing ethical considerations do you think are important to keep in mind with new technology and innovations?

With the change in times there are various changes that has been occurring in the technologies which has not been far from the medical field as well. Every now and then a new innovation or technology is invented and is brought into practice because of which the nurses will have to be very aware and alert . Along with all these changes the nurse's role has been changing very frequently. All these changes will bring a change in the ethical consideration as well in the nurse's career.

The ethical consideration that are important to keep in mind with new technology and innovations are:

- they should always consider about the patient's anonymity. With new technologies the information about one person can be shared and seen by other people who has access to that particular machine which can be a bigger problem with the anonymity and privacy of the patient. She should be able to maintain it for the patient.

- justice is also one of the major concern which can be violated. The patient may not be familiar with the new technologies and the hospital itself might be new to it. Sometimes they tend to try it on the patients in order to check for its quality without their consent. Hence it is a duty of a nurse to make the patient know and understand about it and let them fight for their justice and rights.
