NULL HYPOTHESIS H0: u= 20.9kg

ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS Ha:μ< 20.9kg

alpha=0.01

Since Population standard deviation is known therefore Z test will be used.

Z= 18.3-20.9/3.2/sqrt(16)

Z= -2.6/3.2/4

Z= -2.6/0.8

Z= -3.25

The P-Value is .000577. The result is significant because p < .01.

Decision: REJECT NULL HYPOTHESIS H0

Conclusion: We have sufficient evidence to conclude that the weight for this sample is significantly lower than 20.3 kg
