Recognizing self versus non-self, which is necessary to prevent healthy body cells from being destroyed along with the invaders.

45. True - The MHC's are capable of presenting intracellular and extracellular antigens . Extracellular antigen is presented by MHC class || and cytosolic (intracellular antigen) is presented by MHC class |

46. False - Super antigens are not processed or presented by T helper cells . A superantigen is an antigen that can bind independently to Class II MHCs and TCR, away from the variable regions. This leads to stimulation of a large number of T-cells, massive production of cytokines, and systemic toxicity.
