Answer #1

1. The motion of a simple pendulum is very close to Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM). SHM results whenever a restoring force is proportional to the displacement, a relationship often known as Hooke’s Law when applied to springs.

F = -kx

Where F is the restoring force, k is the spring constant, and x is the displacement.bu = M esoɔbw mg sin o -10.

here, mg sin\theta acts as restoring force which brings the object back to its normal position/mean position making it very close to SHM performance.Only thing to be considered is pendulum oscillates by small angle .

2.Period(T) vs Length(L) Period(T in sec) 0.1 0.15 0.2 0.25 03 0.4 0.45 0.5 0.55 0.6 0.35 R Length(L in metres)3. Time period vs sq. root of Length variation

Period(1) vs Length (L) Period(T in sec) 0.4 0.45 0.5 0.65 0.7 0.75 0.8 0.55 0.6 sq root of Length (L in metres)

3. plot 2 gave us a straight line as T is directly proportional to \sqrt{} T

4.To get the idea of variation that T is a straight line only in case 2

5.slope = 1.99 , y intercept= 0
