- Today, most Americans who are members of an organized religion are Christian, with the majority being Protestant.
- Judaism, Islam, and Buddhism are among the other religions practiced in the United States.

- The US is in stage four of the demographic transition model. This means they have a low CBR and CDR with a steady or increasing natural increase rate.
- Currently they are experiencing immigration from Mexico, India, China, and the Philippines.
- In the 1990a the US had a huge spike in the amount of immigrants reaching 32.7 million. The immigrants moved to areas in the sun belt primarily.
Historical trend:
World population growth has effected history in many ways. It has led to food shortages, and economic problems. It has also helped country's by because some of the reasons that population has changed is immigration which has changed customs and influenced society.
Economical development:
Population growth has led to more job opportunities but at the same time it has led to less job opportunities. One example of this is if we have to many immigrants than they can be taking important jobs.
Global geographic patterns:
People in less developed countries have a continuous pattern of over population because they have less access to health care, social services, and healthy environment with clean air and water.
