Ms, Ayeesh has had dysmenorrheal and menorrhagia for several months. she is also anemic because of the presence of a large fibroid seen by the ultrasound, a hysterectomy was recommended. after it was removed the uterus was opened to reveal multiple fibroids bulging into the uterine cavity and displaying a firm white appearance.

. Fibroids are benign solid tumor of uterus ,it arises from single myocyte of uterus so it monoclonal in origin

Risk factor are nulliparity,obese female, lack of excersie

Fibroids are oestrogen and progesterone dependent tumaor

High level of these hormones grow fast .

.types of uterine fibroids are submucosal,intramural,subserosal

In this case ms ayeesh had submucosal fibroids beacuse it reflects in uterine cavity
