80 mg Theophylline=15ml solution

Therefore to get 100mg cross multiply and divide

(100×15÷80)=18.75ml

To get a dose of 100 mg 18.75 ml solution to be added

Flow rate=Total volume ×15÷Total hours to be transfused ×60

if the total time to be transfused is 1 hourthen

=50×15÷1×60

=12.5gtt/min
