Answer #1

% mass = (mass of CaCl2 / total mass) x 100

% mass = 32.0 %

mass of CaCl2 = ?

total mass = 288.8 g

32.0 = (mass of CaCl2 / 288.8) x 100

mass of CaCl2 / 288.8 = 0.32

mass of CaCl2 = 92.42 g

mass of H2O = 288.8 - 92.42 = 196.38 g
