Topic: Advocate How would you demonstrate patient advocacy for someone that could not mentally or physically advocate for themselves? List several examples. 1. Patient advocacy is a area of specialization in health care concerned with advocacy for patient, survivor and care giver.

2. Patient advocate may be individual or organization often though not always concern with always one specific group of disorder.

3. Patient advocacy is a act of speaking behalf of support of another person place or things.

Example:

1. Patient is getting abuse but he is mentally challenged, in this situation anyone who watching the abuse can protect the patient as well as can notify you the agency against abuse.

2. Ethics are involved in patient advocacy, nurse is dealing with terminally ill patient, their relatives are request on withholding of treatment, but patient want to continue the treatment, in this situation nurse should full full the patient needs. By this way patient advocacy implemented.
