1.websites:

  • Encyclopedia on Early Childhood Development
  • website of Queensland Government

   2.Arguments FOR current immunization schedule

  • Could be saved millions of lives of children. In earlier times, large number of children died due to various communicable diseases like mumps,Measles,Bordetella, and save them from lifelong disabilities due to poliomyelitis etc.
  • Immunization not only the protects the person or child from deadly diseases but also save the whole community.Pulse polio immunization is such kind of vaccination which impart Herd Immunity

3.Arguments AGAINST CURRENT IMMUNISATION

  • Adverse reactions associated with vaccines, such as tenderness and redness at the injection sites, fever and allergic reactions are common. However, these reactions are minor and they recur without treatments
  • Re emergence of communicable diseases already eliminated or eradicated, sometimes it may be indication of lack of effectiveness of currently used vaccines.

4.My personal opinion on current immunization measures are mainly positive.Because most of the deadly communicable diseases were prevalent once in our society could be successfully eliminated or eradicated. The deaths associated with communicable diseases are very few and it is definitely an achievement of the immunization mission.

The after effects of immunization are minimal and can be relieved without any treatment. So immunization is now a fundamental right of a child.Even if the side effects were ocured,it is would be less severe than the actual disease.Reactions associated with vaccination is not a valid reason for avoiding immunization.

But the re emergence of the old diseases, already eliminated may be a crisis for the health care system,eg: Outbreak of Diphtheria after a long gap in Kerala,India.
