Answer #1

There are 10 muscles. Labelling starts from the top ( From Thigh to heel)

The first muscle marked in the diagram is Plantaris which is a small muscle of the calf of the muscle arises from the lower end of the femur and the posterior ligament of the knee joint, is inserted into the calcaneus.

Just below the Plantarius, either sides of the Leg is Gastrocnemius.

Between the Gastrocnemius, the muscle called Popliteus.

The flat, broad muscle, lying just beneth the Gastrocnemius muscle is Soleus.

There are long 5 muscles running towards the foot. (Labelling from left to right)

Startig from the posterior part( From left side of the digram), The thin muscle that belongs to posterior muscles of the leg is Flexor digitorium longus.

Next to Flexor digitorium longus, in the centre of all muscles is Tibialis Posterior.

Flexor hallucis longus is located below the tibialis posterior and touches the flexor digitorium longus towards foot.

Upper right of Flexor hallucis longus and the outer area o leg, the muscle called Fibularis longus.

Lower right side of the flexor hallucis longus is Fibularis brevis muscle.(Lower part of Fibularis longus)

The tendon on the back of the lower leg(heel) called Calcaneal tendon.
