Correctly label the muscles of the leg.
The given muscle is lower limb/ leg muscle
Since it is difficult to draw the diagram let us divide it into left and right portions.
TO left side of the image 3 cells are present .let us label them as 1,2,3 from top to bottom
So we can label them easily as follows
LEFT SIDE OF IMAGE ( LABELLING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM)
1)POPLITEUS
2)SOLEUS (CUT)
3)FLEXOR DIGITORIUM LONGUS.
RIGHT SIDE OF IMAGE
(LABELLING FROM TOP TO BOTTOM)
1)PLANTARIS (CUT)
2)GASTROCNEMIUS (CUT)
3)TIBIALIS POSTERIOR
4)FIBULARIS LONGUS
5)FLEXOR HALUCIS LONGUS
6)FIBULARIS BREVIS
7)CALCANEAL TENDON.right side of image
1) PLANTARIS
IT is superficial muscle of posterior compartment of leg present deep to the GASTROCNEMIUS tendon.it sends information to brain regarding the position of brain.
2)GASTROCNEMIUS muscle
It arises from each heads of condyle of femur and get inserted into calcaneous by calcanean tendon.it cause flexion at knee and plantar flex.
3)TIBIALIS POSTERIOR : it is present in deep compartment of lower leg. It is used to invert the leg.
4)FIBULARIS LONGUS
It is also known as peroneus LONGUS .it is superficial muscle of leg .it act to plantar flex the ankle. It supports arches .
5)FLEXOR HALUCIS
IT is deep muscle of posterior compartment of leg.it helps to flex our large toe.
6) FIBULARIS BREVIS
It is lower muscle of leg which helps in plantar flex and eversion of foot.
7)CALCANEAL TENDON
It is known as heel cord.it helps to attach calf, soleus and PLANTARIS muscles to CALCANEUS bone.
Left side of image:
1) POPLITEUS
It is a thin flat muscle located at our back of leg .it helps in flexing movement of leg.
2)Soleus
It is important muscle of calf of leg .
It originates from head of tibia and fibula
Aids in plantar flex.
3)Flexor DIGITORIUM LONGUS: it is present on posterior surface of tibia of leg. Aids in plantar flex and invert muscle.
