In hypoventilation,  respiratory rate ranges from 8 - 12 breaths per minute and is shallow.

Cheyne stock respiration has deeper and faster breaths.

Tachypnea is respiratory rate of more than 20 breaths per minute.

Agonal breathing is of short duration and the pattern is inadequate in nature.

21. A. pulse oximetry reading of 88 %

In a normal healthy person oximetry reading is 94% -99%. So below 90% of saturation is of a concern.

22. C. Auscultate using the bell of the stethescope.

Ausculatation should be done at first in older adults, if there is history of Peripheral vacsular disease. Inorder to hear "bruit" ,the bell of the stethescope is used.

23. A. Narrowing of the inferior vena cava causing bilateral lower extremity varicosities.

Decrease in inferior vena cava diameter can occur in older adults.

Increase in systolic blood pressure can lead to stroke and other cardiovascular problems.
