The hormones controlling the female reproductive system includes Gonadotropin releasing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone.

Role of Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH)-

Development of mature egg that occur with monthly cycle are initiated in the brain by secretion of GnRH. Gonadotropin releasing hormone stimulates the production of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH).

Role of FSH and LH-

FSH stimulates the follicles within the ovaries to produce the amount of estrogen and small amount of progesterone during the first two weeks of menstrual cycle. Luteinizing hormone signals the dominant follicle to release its egg for fertilization.

Role of Estrogen and Progesterone-

Estrogen lubricates vaginal tissue, it is helpful in growth of breasts and uterine tissue. Progesterone actually the hormone who maintains pregnancy. It has main Role in fatal brain and nervous system development.

Role of Human chorionic gonadotropin ( HCG)-

The main Role of HCG is to keep corpus luteum functioning to produce estrogen and Progesterone.
