Explain the role of hormones in controlling the female reproductive cycle.
The hormones controlling the female reproductive system includes Gonadotropin releasing hormone, follicle stimulating hormone and luteinizing hormone.
Role of Gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH)-
Development of mature egg that occur with monthly cycle are initiated in the brain by secretion of GnRH. Gonadotropin releasing hormone stimulates the production of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and Luteinizing hormone (LH).
Role of FSH and LH-
FSH stimulates the follicles within the ovaries to produce the amount of estrogen and small amount of progesterone during the first two weeks of menstrual cycle. Luteinizing hormone signals the dominant follicle to release its egg for fertilization.
Role of Estrogen and Progesterone-
Estrogen lubricates vaginal tissue, it is helpful in growth of breasts and uterine tissue. Progesterone actually the hormone who maintains pregnancy. It has main Role in fatal brain and nervous system development.
Role of Human chorionic gonadotropin ( HCG)-
The main Role of HCG is to keep corpus luteum functioning to produce estrogen and Progesterone.

Explain the cow estrous cycle with details. Link hormonal regulation to the function of the female reproductive tract
Describe, in detail, the female reproductive cycles. Be sure to include the phases of each cycle and what’s occurring during that phase. In addition, be sure to mention how the cycles are related to one another.
4. Progesterone, a steroid involved in the female reproductive cycle is pictured below. Identify the hydrophobic and hydrophilic parts of the progesterone molecule. Нас, CHа CH3
Compare the hormonal controls of the male reproductive cycle with the hormonal controls of the female reproductive cycle. How are they the same? How are they different? What is this condition called? What causes it? What is ectopic endometrial tissue? What is the rationale for using danazol, a gonadotropin inhibitor? Why do you think oral contraceptives could also be used as a treatment? Is surgical treatment an option, why? Why not? Case Study A 26-year-old female complained of severe, dull,...
