we hang the mass to a string, tilt the string by some angle and release. using the stopwatch , we note the time for one oscillation. then we use another length and tilt the string by some angle and release.using the stopwatch , we again note the time for one oscillation . This way we make a list of lengths used and time period we get for each length. we plot a graph between Time period and squareroot of the length using this data and from the graph we can determine the acceleration due to gravity.
