Mr. Carter operates Economy Furniture Mart, and he pays each of his sales people $48,0000 a year to sell a good mid grade quality furniture. He has a total of 8 sales people. After reading an industry report, he feels that his total company sales should be at least double what he is making. Most of the sales people come into the store and meet in the back room for coffee and snacks and spend lots of time on their smart phones. They only interact with customers if they have questions. Mr. Carter feels that they should be out on the floor engaging the customers more to get them to buy. Someone suggested that Mr. Carter should fired all of the sales people and start with a fresh team. What do you think that Mr. Carter should do in this situation in order increase Economy Furniture total yearly sales. Be very specific

It can be mentioned that employee motivation is very important in this regard where firing the employees are using coercive power might not be beneficial all the times because you never know what the new employees can do where they can make a situation even worse. Therefore there are many motivational theories in organisational behaviour which can help in this purpose where one such theory is Hertzberg two factor theory devki has to find out the fact that which of the factors motivate them such as rewards, recognition etc and therefore in this regard it can be mentioned that after finding the motivators he has to engage them in play so that the work quality can be increased all in all and this can bring in better results
