Doctor patient confidentiality is something legal.here privacy should be maintained to a medical concept for protecting patients information.this can only be exposed by the court order.

For example-if a teenager came with a sexually transmitted disease here the doctor had to know about the sexual partners for medical purpose,but doctor here is not supposed to reveal this information to anyone else.this is called confidentiality.but here if further problem occurs then police can force the doctor to expose all the information by court order.
