Via globalization, which has a major effect on China's economy and society, China is taking on challenges and potential. After the reform was carried out and the policy opened up in 1978, China slowly became involved in the global market flood. Over the course of more than thirty years of global market growth, China has achieved major accomplishments in the aspects of trade, international competition, and the improvement of people's lives. It is also clear that globalization and international cooperation drive China's economic growth while adding a great deal to the global economy.

Under the impact of globalization and the invasion of Western values into Chinese society, concept building through the second socialization of Chinese youth is receiving more external influence and challenges due to the values promoted by global culture and Western values may contradict their primary conception.

Since globalization and market opening and deregulation by the Chinese economy, foreign direct investment and transnational corporations (FDI and TNC's) have been rising quite rapidly. In modern agriculture, high-tech manufacturing, infrastructure and construction, FDI and TNC encouraged. They concentrate on Western regions growth and State Owned Enterprises re-engineering. Global investment capital had become a major growth driver. Rapid growth, however, has created problems such as high inflation rates in urban areas, which can lead to increased economic inequality between regions and social classes.
