Answer #1

Here, there are 4 variables on which CO2 absorption may depend- (i) Plant Type (ii) Plant Part (iii) Light Color (iv) Temperature. But the researcher only wants to check that whether or not the CO2 absorption depends on the variable "Plant Type". So, what should she do? She should take two different plant but keep all other variables i.e. Plant Part, Light Color and Temperature same.

The first container she took was container 5 which had Oak plant and plant part was leaf. The light used was orange light and temperature was 27 oC. So, the other container must also have orange light, temperature 27 oC and plant type should be leaf. But the Plant type should be different.

Thus, the answer will be Option (e) Myrtle leaf, orange light, 27 oC
