Answer #1

1. The Cornell research is not ethical because its not doing what it is saying in the legal documents. They are taking consents from the subjects by telling them in written and orally that they will provide all the care to the patient if they are sick with AIDS ,but actually they are not giving the antiretroviral drugs to all the patient's ,they are giving it to the wealthy ones only . It's just totally injustice to the subjects who are participating in the study . Also they are breaking the ethics of veracity and fidelity.

2. Yes, the patient's in the study should get the same AIDS treatment that is available to the people in united states because standard treatment is same all over the world ,it should be available for all the population as it is the right of an individual to get the treatment .

3. Yes, the researcher should provide stronger warning to subjects about the danger of not using condoms because unprotected sex is one of the common and leading cause of sexually transmitted disease mainly AIDS . If condoms are not used during sex ,there is high chances of getting infected with AIDS. In Haiti ,condoms are not used due to cultural and some other reasons , the health care people should provide health education and counselling about the use of condoms and should make them think practically and logically.

4. No, the informed consent process is not morally accepted because what it is said in the informed consent is not being followed . They are taking the consents for providing treatment for AIDS but not promising to give antiretroviral drugs which is the major treatment for AIDS .
