a) Xcm = (m1d1 + m2(d1+d2) + m3(d1+d2+d3))/(m1+m2+m3)

You need to use proper brackets or parantheses.

b) (22*1.5+11*(1.5+1.6)+42*(1.5+1.6+3.9))/(22+11+42) = 4.814 cm

c) Xcm = (-m1d2+m3d3)/(m1+m2+m3)
