BIO SIGNAL : A bio signal is defined as any signal used in human beings which can be measured and monitored continually. They can be used as both electrical and non electrical signals.

* Three bio signals are :

- Electrocardiogram (Electrocardiography)

- Electroencephalogram (Electroencephalography)

- Electromyogram (Electromyography)

* Normal range of Electrocardiogram is - 440 ms

Electrocardiogram is used to identify cardiac related problems of patient including - Myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, cardiac stress, cardiomyopathy,etc

* Normal range of Electroencephalogram is - 8Hz

Electroencephalogram is used to identify the depth of anesthesia, monitors brain functions, brain damages, electrical functioning of brain, seizure activity, etc

* Normal range of Electromyogram is - 50 to 30mV

Electromyogram is used to monitor neuro muscular activity, weakness, spinal nerve compression, spinal injuries and deformities, myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophy, etc
