a) Facebook,Uber and Amazon are companies may be collecting data of persons. As it feels that after using these utility apps advertisement/products appears that connect your personal choices or requirements. Further when you use any search engine automatically some links popups whether you are in search of that or not.

b) Companies can use these information in many ways, some are as under

  • Enhance customer base
  • Betterment of its product
  • Making strategy against its competitor
  • Introduction of new product
  • Making more relevant advertisement campaign
  • To know about target customer group
  • To making changes in website and apps
  • To make Marketing strategy
  • To discriminate pricing
  • To sell more products easily to customer without too much effort

c) If data has collected and used without knowledge of user then it it surly unethical. Because it can be harmful for its security, health and family. Permission should be taken before collection of data and if company is selling the same it should not be before permission of user.
