MEDICTIONS and ROLE:::::1)opioids -such as morphine or meperidine can be used intravenously to reduce pain

2)in fluids to correct dehydration and also ease the passage of stone through urine.

3)NSAID :if pain is not controlled by morphine this is recommended.

4) anti emetics:Mto reduce vomiting .METOCHLOPRAMIDE is the drug of choice to treat vomiting associated with renal colic.ondansterin,promethazine and hydroxyzine also can be used commonly.

5)anti-diuretics-it also can reduce the pain by increasing the output of urine.

6)antibiotics-to treat UTI for patient with kidney stone.

HYDRATION , DIET and advice to prevent recurrence of stone :::a1)alot of fluid should drink by patient to prevent all types of kidney stones.because,this will assist the patient to dilate urine.This will prevent stone formation.2)Tell the patient to drink ginger ale,lemon-lime soda and fruit juices.3)patient should drink atleast 3lit/day water.limit the intake of coffee,tea and cola.4)tell him to reduce the intake of salt,tomatoes ,canned food and red meat.5)advice him to have more citrate content food such as lemon,orange.5)reduce the protein intake.6)take low -fat diet.7)do not take extra calcium or vit.D8)avoid alcohol,cauliflower,mushroom,oils,organ meat,spinach,etc.8)tell him to have enough carbohydrates contain food..
