  • Artificial sweetener if used for long run my increase the risk of obesity, metabolic syndrome, heart disease and diabetes. Research by American Heart assocition (AHA) and American Diabetes ssociation (ADA).
  • There are following reasons for weight gain :-
  1. when body develops insulin resistance
  2. metabolism of body is slow
  3. Calorie intake is more than reguired by the body.
  • Best way to lose weight is eat mindfully i.e healthy eating and exercise daily - Centre of Disease Controll and Prevention , North American Association for the study of obesity (NAASO)
  • It is because there are proven facts that obesity is associated with various disease such as diabetes and  heart disease.
  • In a hospital setting when the person is already sick he may need more nutrients and energy for recovery. So it is harmful to losse weight.
