In this solution assumption is made that for letters we are considering only capital letters... In case of assumption is not true...

For finding the solution we need to add 26 to 2nd Letter combinations.. Like

in a) part 2nd letter contains 26+26 = 52 possibilities and in b) part it contains 25 + 26 = 51 possibilities and hence the end answer will differ..
