a) When there is no restriction, as there are 6 letters, it can be arranged in 6! ways 720 arrangements b) The first letter is a vowel. There are 3 choices (U, A, E) of a vowel for the first letter. The remaining 5 letters can be arranged in 5! ways. Answer: 3-5! -360 arrangements c) The arrangement when starting with a consonant is: CVCVCV, the three constants can be placed in 3! ways. The three vowels can be placed in 3! ways. (3!) (3) 36 arrangements.
