The hypothalamus of the brain is responsible to secrete anti diuretic hormone. ADH is important to maintain water balance in the body. SIADH is a condition resulting secondary to traumatic brain injury results in excrete excess water stagnated inside the body. It leads to pooling of water and as well as hyponatremia.

The first line of management includes fluid restriction and administration of diuretics. The effectiveness of treatment can be elicited by marked decrease in body weight, absence of wheezing in the lungs, increased urine output.

The other options that are inappropriate includes rise in blood pressure and drop in heart rate as in SIADH the blood pressure is elevated as there is higher water concentration that exerts excess pressure not he blood.
