Salt and Light
In the Bible read Matthew 5:13-16
Consider how this passage applies to your life/career/society and briefly respond to the following prompts:
What does it mean to be salty? If you lose your saltiness, how can you be made salty again? What does it mean to be light? In what ways do you hide your light? In what ways do you let your light shine?
Mathew 5:13-16
We have to be salt for this world. Salt is white it resembles the
purity of the justified believers. It there is taste in the salt it
will be waste. We can not use that for any purpose. It considers as
a loyalty, durability, usefulness, purity in heart. God gave his
first disciples that should be followed in our daily lives. As a
christian, we need to add divine flavor to the world. we should not
sting the world with our rebuke and judgment the way salt sting the
wound. We need to stop our immoral behavior in our sin in the
world. How the salt, if it loses the taste, can not be used, if we
follow disobedience, carelessness we lose our saltiness(taste). God
can restore the taste of salt (our life) when we confess our sins
to god.
As a light, we have to show the brightness to the world. Be truth
of God's word. when we worship our God with pure heart, when we
love each other, when we do good for others we can shine our light.
when we become salt and light we can expect fruit from our
faithfulness. If you are not being salted and light, repents and
surrender yourself to god, Jesus will show his best for his glory.
show the goodness and spread the gospel of Christ to everyone.
