The developing countries have the least effective intervention in prevention programs and treatment. The healthcare is underutilized in these countries due to lack of inadequate health knowledge and literacy. Further lack of inability of resources, potential inability, health care results in ineffective intervention. Health disparities are increased due to the unequal distribution of health. Culture also influences a role in the limited use of interventions. e.g Pregnant women are unaware of the importance of antenatal check-ups and Lack of availability of primary health centers to cover all such women.
Limitations in the insurance coverage:
The people in developing countries have to pay more out of pockets in treating disease. The lack of expanded coverage, poor policies, lack of financial fund altogether results in a burden on people in accessing health services. Health labor market increases the premiums that results in an increased rate of uninsured. Increased of the private sector in health care makes people confuse about choose of health care plans. e.g the older adults are lack of insurance coverage in treating chronic diseases.
