Answer #1

Answer - I do not agree with the given statement. The World bank though dominated by the members of some countries , does not discriminate between the developed and developing countries. The developing nations are provided the financial assistance by the world bank and offered help by the developed nations in the form of capital investments . Both the world bank and the developed nations are coming forward and giving a lending hand to the developing nation. Ofcourse the developed nations too has its own benefit from it.

Reflect on the reading about power. Researchers argue that one of the reasons some people have power over others is that individuals are so quick to conform. Several classic studies, including the Asch Studies, help to illustrate this idea. Study the Asch Studies, and think about the "real-life" implications. Then study the modern conformity experiment, and think about the "real-life" implications of this experiment. In your opinion, how can an awareness of this information help you in the workplace? The consolidation of financial statements for entities with subsidiaries in multiple countries presents the most challenging difference between IFRS and US GAAP. This migration may eventually happen, but will most certainly take some time and be quite costly (Forgeas, 2008). Banking on ForgivenessWhen James Wolfensohn became head of the World Bank, he bluntly admitted the bank had "screwed up" in Africa. Decades of loans had erected a vast modern infrastructure (dams, roads, and power plants) for Africa's poor, but the gap between rich and poor did not narrow.
