From the symptoms mentioned above the diagnosis could be Stomach Flu.
1. Initial assessments include:
To get patient past history like travels, contact with other sick people, current and past medical conditions, prescriptions & over the counter medications that the patient took.
Blood pressure monitoring, pulse check, signs of fever and dehydration, auscultation of abdomen, Retal check for blood in stool
2. it is important to inform about this flu outbreak to local health department as they investigate, interview patients, and perform diagnostic testing etc.
3. They will provide epidemiologic consultation and tools. provide lab support, they will check for other state outbreak events etc. may recall food involved in outbreaks.
4. Since the age ranges from 2 years & 67 years , they involve other adults for their support. so the flu can spread easily to other adults . This age aspect pose others vulnerable.
