Product cost is the costs incurred to manufacture a product. These will include direct labor, direct materials and factory overhead.

Period costs is costs that are not related to the production like selling and administrative expenses

Product Period
Electricity costs to run the factory Accountant salary
Tyres for the bicycles Selling costs for the period
Delivery costs to take the bicycles to stores
