The Iturralde V.Hilo medical case clearly describes the negligence done by a surgeon who is very highly responsible to prevent any harm to their patients knowingly or unknowingly. Dr .Robert Ricketson and the Hilo Medical center was sued by a patient who underwent a surgery. The surgeon implanted a screwdriver in the patients spine leading to death after a couple of years. The relevant malpractice policies in place for addressing the issues is Medical malpractice for "Surgical error" ,"Medical product liability". Here the surgeon is also legally to be issued for his negligence and malpractice though he deprived of his act.Being a provider they have to stick to the ethical principles of causing no harm to patients (non maleficience) ,provide eye necessary and right care (Beneficience)
