ANSWER-1) The Federalists in U.S. were the first political party led by Alexander Hamilton. He as Secretary of Treasury wanted a strong central government and thus supported the constitution, and attempted for convincing the States on the ratification of the document. However the Anti-Federalist opposed the constitution and it was led by Secretary of State Thomas Jefferson. Anti-Federalist supported the states’ rights rather than a centralized power. Around the country's commercial and manufacturing sector Federalists coalesced and on contrary their opponents drew their strength from those who supported an agrarian tradition. Jefferson believed people as governors; and Hamilton distrusted it and supported that the federal government must wield considerable power to ensure a successful course.
